FAQ

Why can I trust Village Surgery Prescription Service?

Village Surgery Prescription Service, in partnership with Pharmacy2U, provides  NHS prescription dispensing services and specialises in the home delivery of medicines. Pharmacy2U currently serves hundreds of thousands of UK patients.

Who delivers my medicines?

Your medicines will normally be delivered by Royal Mail. If required and in the case of bulky prescriptions, we may use alternative courier services.

Is delivery always free?

Yes it is.

What if I’m out when my delivery arrives?

We can deliver to any address – your home, your place of work, to your carer or neighbour.

We also offer a letter box delivery service whereby, size permitting, the parcel can be posted through your letter box. Your consent is required to confirm it is safe to do so.

You can also take advantage of Royal Mail Safeplace as well as SMS notifications to let you know your order is out for delivery and has been delivered. Safeplace lets you inform your postman of a convenient place to leave your item if you are not home to accept delivery. This could be secure place of your choice – or with a nominated neighbour.

Can I switch if I have already nominated a pharmacy?

Yes. The NHS Electronic Prescription Service is a new way to let patients choose the pharmacy service that best suits their needs. When you register with Pharmacy2U you are under absolutely no commitment and free to stop using our service at any time.
